The “mild sister” of mint
Water mint belongs to the labiate family and can grow up to 80cm tall. Water mint grows best in damp ditches and marshland but can also be found fully submerged in lakes. It has small white to light-purple flowers. Water mint contains essential oils, tannins and menthol, among other things.
