Chamomile belongs to the daisy family and grows in Europe, Africa and America on fallow land, at roadsides, and in grain fields. It is a fairly undemanding plant that can grow to a maximum height of 60cm, and flowers from May to June. Who doesn’t recognise the intense scent of chamomile? Its famous sweetly aromatic aroma originates in its flowers as well as its leaves and stem.
